Approach & Priorities

If you’re reading this page, it’s likely because I’ve linked it to you—I admire your work and would love the opportunity to collaborate with you.

As a second photographer, my absolute #1 priority is to conduct myself with professionalism and ensure that wedding guests feel comfortable and at ease. I understand that hiring a second photographer can feel risky—an unprepared or unprofessional second photographer can disrupt the day and reflect poorly on your business. I don’t take that responsibility lightly and pride myself on my excellent soft skills.

My second priority is to support you in any way you need. Whether it’s managing routine tasks like holding your off-camera flash, retrieving equipment, or stepping in to capture important moments when necessary, I’m there to help things run smoothly. I’m fully capable of operating independently, ensuring I deliver amazing photos that exceed your expectations.

Equipment

I use professional Sony cameras with dual card slots for simultaneous recording, ensuring that your images are always secure.

  • Cameras: Sony A7 III (main and second camera); upgrading to Sony A7 V as soon as it’s released
  • Lenses:
    • Sigma 16-28mm f/2.8 DG DN (wide-angle zoom)
    • Sony 50mm f/1.4 GM (portrait)
    • Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN (portrait)
    • Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG DN (telephoto zoom)
    • Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN (macro)
    • Samyang 45mm f/1.8 (backup)
  • Lighting: Godox V100 flash, Godox AD400 Pro strobe, and Godox X2T trigger
  • Accessories: 2 light stands, 2 tripods, 24″ and 33″ softboxes

This is my standard setup for weddings, ensuring I’m fully equipped to deliver professional results and meet your needs.

Style & Experience

As a dual-camera shooter, my preferred lens combo is a 50mm and an 85mm, which I find to be the most flattering for portraits. These lenses create beautiful depth and bokeh when I have the space. For more versatility, I rely on the zooms in my kit. My style leans toward the natural and light-and-airy side, rather than moody, with a focus on exposing for the subjects and ensuring they are tack sharp. I also excel at exposing for the background and using off-camera flashes to light the subject, achieving a professional studio look when needed. I’m all about capturing genuine smiles and emotion—weddings are a time to celebrate, and I want my images to reflect that joy.

With wide-ranging experience from real estate to sports, I’m comfortable capturing everything from intricate details to fast-paced action. Whether it’s the macro details with the groomsmen, posed group photos, or the fast action on the dance floor, you can rely on me to capture every moment seamlessly.
